Rismon Backup Utility — Last updated: October 2026

1. Purpose

Rismon Backup Utility is an internal operational tool used by Rismon to transfer encrypted infrastructure backups to a dedicated organizational Google Drive account.

The application is not offered to the public and is used only for Rismon's internal backup operations.

2. Google Drive Access

The application requests the following Google OAuth scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file

This permission allows the application to create and manage Google Drive files associated with the application.

Rismon Backup Utility uses this access only for creating, uploading, verifying, organizing, and deleting encrypted backup files managed by the backup process.

3. Google User Data

The application accesses Google Drive only through the dedicated organizational backup account that explicitly authorizes the application.

The application does not use Google user data for advertising, marketing profiles, behavioral analysis, or sale.

Google user data is not transferred to third parties except as required to operate the authorized Google Drive service or where required by law.

4. Backup Data

Infrastructure backups are encrypted before being transferred to Google Drive.

OAuth credentials, encryption keys, and application secrets are managed separately from backup files and are not stored in the application's public source code repository.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Backup files are retained and deleted according to Rismon's internal backup and retention policies.

Files that are no longer required may be deleted from Google Drive by the backup process or by an authorized Rismon administrator.

6. Authorization and Revocation

The administrator of the dedicated Google account may revoke the application's Google Drive authorization at any time through Google Account security settings.

Revoking authorization prevents the application from performing future Google Drive operations.

7. Limited Use

Rismon Backup Utility's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Security

Rismon applies technical and organizational controls intended to protect backup files, OAuth credentials, encryption keys, and related operational data from unauthorized access.

9. Changes

This Privacy Policy may be updated if the application's Google Drive access, backup architecture, or data practices change.
